Simplify the process of tarping and untarping trucks.

The process of tarping and untarping trucks is simple, but time-consuming and ergonomically unsuitable for the driver or operator to perform manually. Aiming to simplify and speed up this operation, SAUR developed the... Mobile Tarpaulin Covering and Uncovering Machine for Trucks.

This equipment can be used on all types of trucks and, being mobile, provides versatility and speed in removing the tarp. It also contributes to the operator's safety, as the equipment can be activated remotely.

The project consists of four support columns, with two movable front wheels and two fixed rear wheels with a locking system during operation. It includes a tow bar for attaching to forklifts, allowing the equipment to be towed.

For the tarping and untarping system, there are two electric hoists connected to a 16 m long tube for suspending the tarp/canvas, with eight hooks and nine clamps for securing the tarp/canvas, spaced 1 m apart.

It is electrically operated via a push-button control, with a 20 m cable. The vertical lifting height of the hoists is 5 m, and the horizontal travel reaches 4 m.
